Thanks guys
She has the dog set up in a paddling pool and built a rail for it so she cant lie on the puppies.. vet rekons theres about 2 weeks left but hard to know when she was just dumped!

she is eating well and is going for vaccination on mon and worming as who knows what she's got.

going out to visit her next week so shal try and get some pics up

Hi there.

We bought both a heat pad and heat lamp when our bulldog had her first litter. Purely due to bulldogs breathing habits. We prefered the heat lamp as it was easier to contol. You might be beter off with the lamp if the house is really cold. After about 2 weeks they should be able to produce there own heat and you can change to a heat pad after this. The lamps are about £25 quid on ebay but well worth it.

You cousin should feel proud as many people would have walked away as puppies are a big expense.

still ......... its still a good investment.

FWIW i found it easier to have heat under pups rather than over, but i suspect it depends on the breed

I won`t tell you how much I paid for xl metal heatpad with cover hehe,my old one didn`t work so had to replace it fast 2 weeks before my bonnie was due to have her puppies,recieved it next day.
