Urgent donor needed!

Please help,
We have a litter of terriers aged 9 days old and have lost two puppies to what looks like Canine Herpes. Our vet is carrying out an examination of the last pup that died but he is 98% sure its canine herpes. We are looking for a blood donor to inject the remaining puppies with plasma to help them fight this killer condtion. This proceedure has been carried out successfully in the UK and is used on foals with great success.
The donor must be a bitch recently vaccinated against Herpes CHV and preferably just whelped a litter as the anibodies will be at their highest. We are in Belfast N.Ireland and would appreciate any help in saving this litter. We will pay all costs to have blood taken and transport costs also of owner if they are in Northern Ireland. Please help! I think blood can also be sent through special delivery Royal mail and again we would pay all costs.
Clare

Re: Urgent donor needed!

gosh, im so sorry. i cant think of anyone who would have a suitable donor. you could try calling round the sanctuaries, or i could for you if you like, its a long shot, but worth a try. if i can help in any other way just let me know- i'm 10-20 mins down the road from you.

Re: Urgent donor needed!

Sounds a bit mad; but could you perhaps ring a local radio station to put out an appeal? Other than that I think that kodakukki's sanctuary idea is good.
