How can I find out how much to pay for a KC registered Yorkie?

Hi, just wondering how I can find out roughly how much a KC registered Yorkie pup would cost? Have tried searching and can't find the info?

Google the "Yorkshire terrier club of great britain" or uk.... Then ring the club. They will give you a rough guide as to how much you should expect to pay. They will also recommend some ethical breeders too

Thanks will have a look at the YTC GB Have registered with the KC Puppy finding service, they email you when KC registered pups in your area are available.

Hoping to get one at the beginning of March, so a while to find the best pup but wasn't sure about cost - Rocky unfortunately is not KC Registered (got him in the days before we knew about the best way to get pups - we did get him from a lovely lady who had mum and dad and an older brother from a previous litter. They were all lovely gentle dogs but know now you should encourage people who may be making money from breeding).

5 weeks is actually quite a short time to find a well bred pup, you may be lucky to find a breeder who has more pups than they expected, but don't be surprised if it does take you a little longer.

Good lukc.

We're in no rush, so if it takes a little longer then we don't mind, we want to get the right pup (well ok, I can't wait and wish it were tomorrow but my head will make me wait )

Generally if I wan't to know how much a breed should cost I look on epupz and average the 2 or 3 most expensive ones , not sure if that is the most accurate way to go about it though!

Thanks - I know the Yorkie breed inside out since getting Rocky - I am definitely aiming for something that isn't small - some advertise mum and dad as being really small 4 or 5lb each!!!!! - Rocky is a healthy 8kg!!! (not fat by the way - his mum and dad were that kind of size too ) Even the rescue Yorkie we had, who was smaller and daintier than Rocky was 6kg

Wow- that's a lot of yorkie- proper teaPot then!?!
I hate seeing moms under 5lbs- or worse when 'mom and dad are both tiny, so pups will be too!'

I'm not sure if it's the same on the mainland, but here a good YT pup is about 450+ (you Can get then at 280, but whether you should or not is a different story) but the club will be able to point you in the right direction (and at least you already know what you are looking for)!
We'll need pictures when you find your pup btw!
