have u done any research on breeding? you need to contact the person you bought her from to see if she is worthy of breeding and will improve the gene pool. Pharoahs are not your every day dog.

I would suggest talking to these people regarding puppies, they are sweden based but have litters in the UK available too.

Sorry, I don't understand this line. It seems like you are saying you would prefer a Pharoah Hound but would accept something else, and I know that can't be right.

What health tests does this breed need to have? You will have to make sure your dog and the stud dog have the proper health certificates. You also need to find out if this breed carries and produces easily or if any difficulties are likely, such as a caesarian.

Breeding is a very expensive business and unless you are doing it to improve the breed, what are your reasons?

These are all questions you should be asking yourself and questions a proper stud owner will be asking.

Not forgetting researching compatible pedigrees and making sure all relevant health tests (not sure what they are for this breed) have been done. Have your bitches endorsements been lifted by her breeder??

Agree with the above, but also as you state above "We think its time for our Tari to start breeding" - why?? - is your bitch a good enough example of the breed?, or as you stated above you just want another puppy and she happens to have a uterus?! If that is the case you'd save a huuuuge amount of money by going and buying another puppy off a breeder - breeding is a very expensive way of getting another dog, not to mention all that could go wrong - do you have the time to hand rear a litter if the worst happens or she doesn't take to motherhood etc!!

As has been said hopefully they will have had the relevant tests and your girl is a good example of her breed. There are so many sub standard dogs being bred today that sometimes it's hard to tell what exactly they are!

IVe not actually heard of this breed, out of interest what health tests do they require? Are you allowed to 'outcross' them to other breeds? is that what you meant but 'ideally as the stud?'
