Re: Please help!

Thanks guys, I didn't realise it was such a tricky thing! My last bitch got very fat and had a litter of 5, and it was all very straight forward! Will take her to the vets in the morning and keep watch until then. Will let you know the outcome, hopefully there is one in there somewhere !

did she have 5 ties? that seems rather a lot or were they slip matings or a mixture of both?

Bitches can produce milk on a phantom and some also gain weight / nest etc and believe me when I say they can be sufficiently bad to convince you they are pregnant even when you know there is no way they could be.

But given the number of times she was mated, I definitely wouldn't be taking any chances.
after reading alot on here that does seem alot, how many should they have over how many days? does it depend on the breed/size of dog? or is it just what normally done to have X amount? I know they are alot different to cats! lol

We have milk, she is nesting, her belly hair is falling out, so all the signs are there.
Can all these signs still be there with a phantom ?
I have not had her scanned, but will take her tommorow i think, i just wondered if anyone on here may dispense some sound advice before hand!
Tanks in advance for any answers
just out of interest what health tests do siberians need? I think I read hips, do they need elbows done to? whats the standard? I love blue eyed huskies
