in short, please dont.

UNLESS, he is of OUTSTANDING quality for the breed, fully clear on ALL health tests(of which there are a number for staffies i believe), of tremendous temperament, and only with a bitch who equals or outdoes these standards!
and thats without me really covering everything.

the staffy plight is out of control though. enjoy your puppy as a pet. studding a dog is not as easy and plain sailing as it sounds.

be an ambassador for the breed and raise a delightful dog that you can be proud of!

OP has not been back. Nobody answered her actual question, which was how old does he have to be to stud out. This gives me to believe they have made up their minds to do it whatever, they only bought the puppy with the intention of making money out of him, and they are not interested in the dire rescue situation of all those poor staffies.

OP please come back and tell me I am wrong.
