Just curious... About homebreds

In particular the girls! At what age have you with homebreds noticed that your 'pup' loses the 'pup&dam' part of it's attachment to the mother?
My mum has my kukis mother and litter sister. Kuki sees her mother a few times a week, but doesn't treat her any differenty than the rest of the dogs in the house and after about 6 months, never did. Bambi (sister) respects missy (dam) as the older female, but that's about it .

However, poppet is still very babyish around her mother. It's kind of brilliant to watch tbh; poppet is twice the size of kuki, but if pop gets scared or unsure at all, she curls up beside her momma in the hopes it will all go away! Just there now she was sleeping and the back door slammed; she jumped up and ran to lie beside kuki. Yorkies do take a fair while to mature, but our line (until now obviously) were pretty much fully grown by a year... Poppet is 11 months, still preheat and gets on like a 10week old when it comes to her mommy.
Is this a normal relationship for a dam and pup I've just never got to experience before? Or is poppet officially weird?

I have a mother and daughter. Daughter is 2yrs 5 months, daughter will sit close next to mum when excited or scared, she does look to her mum for comfort but i think thats because shes not as out going as her mum, but mum still cleans her daughters bits when's she's been out for a wee!!

I have mother daughter and grandaughter mother Tegan is 9 daughter Amber is 3 and grandaughter Angel is 5 her mother being from Tegan's first litter Amber being from her last litter.

Amber is not bothered by her mother she sin't intersted in her at all but she does live with her twin brother and is obssessed by him. Angel doesn't recognise Tegan as a relative and she has quietly taken over the roll off top bitch from her granny.

Re: Just curious... About homebreds

So it's bambi an missy that are strange then! In my house my oldest is now 4yr old kitty (after my old man went to r.b) and she is very much the doggy authority- followed by kuki, then pop n river... And they are all very respectful of kitty and pamper her something shocking- it just caught me off guard how my big 'all grown up' poppet is such a mommas suck!
I can't wait till I have a doting grannydog in the house (I have high hopes already for pops babies!) it'll be awesome
