What do you think is wrong with good quality clean straw? It an excellent bedding. I know several top winning show dogs bedded on straw, lol in fact when one of the owners who did B&B at our place for the back to back Welsh shows they had a choice, indoor or outdoor, they requested a stable with straw and I was more than happy to oblige!

I should think it is fine as long as they are getting plenty of interaction with people, do they look healthy, bright, alert and active for their age?

no they dont actaully the mum looks thoroughy peed off and the pups look listless, and acutally straw isnt a good insulator unless it's been cleaned and dried, and it can cuase skin allergies, and it's a fab host for fleas n lice - -

Re: Rottie pups on Epupz

No expert here but do believe that straw is great for fleas, in fact I know it is from when I kept rabbits even though I bought top quality bales!

Personally I like vet bedding, easy to wash and keep clean. I know Kali's breeder suggested wood shavings to me which I thought wasn't good for tiny eyes, ears and noses - son's a chippy and has to wear a mask and goggles working with shaving/dust, so I can't see how it's good for new born anything's TBH!

Still what do you expect from E Pupz advertisers eh?

Sawdust that's used for animal bedding is pre packed and has the dust extracted. It isn't taken straight from the carpenter and used! Doh......
