Weaning puppies to raw
I wonder can anyone give me advice on how much to feed when weaning raw. This is my first litter and are both doing well, well rounded pups and loving raw. However, no one I know feeds raw and I tend to be a bit paranoid wherre my pups are concerned
![]() They nearly always clean their bowl and would eat more I'm sure but I don't want to overfeed and there isn't a lot of ino regarding amounts unless its dry or wet Pups are 7 weeks and weigh around 5 to 6 kg, adult weight will be approx 25 kg. What percentage should I roughly be working too? I guess I just need confirmation from those who raw wean Thank you |

Re: Weaning puppies to raw
For the first couple of feeds, I feed each pup individually, a teaspoon or so of minced raw chicken mixed with a little bio-yoghurt. I feed seperately so I can check all of them like it and are getting some, lol!
Then after the first two days of doing this, I put the food in one/two bowls, dpeneding on number of pups and sizes of bowls and let them tuck in. I introduce a new meat every 3 days. I feed the food first then pop them onto mom t finish with a drink. I also chuck chicken wings in the playpen for them to 'play' with and chomp on.
