Re: nutering advise

well i know that the timings for being spayed after a season is around 3 months so that their hormones n everything are back to normal levels. so i would think its the same really for this situation.

If you deffo don't want this to happen then deffo don't let her near a male dog when she's in season. She will bleed so you'll know and she will take a couple of months before she can be spayed anyway. Best to phone a vet and ask how soon they will spay her!

Re: nutering advise

she's likely to come into season every 6 months - so about 4 months after the pups are born. Her insides wont however have settled particularly well so caution on spaying her in a months time... as others have said if you keep her away from the boys she wont have pups.

Not always, some bitches are very sneaky and clean about it .

I would say 3 months as well to give her hormones time to settle down and for the blood flow to her uterus to reduce (it increases a lot during pregnancy) otherwise she could bleed out or have complications on the table . It would be worth having a chat with your vet though.

I think that's much too soon, I'd be looking for another vet if I were you, at least for a second opinion if nothing else.

This is the same vet who said it was ok to spay her whilst still in season ? I would be looking for a new vet and I would definitely wait longer to have her spayed.
