Info on website..
I think I have said before that because I am so involved with mum and her breeding/showing (being her handler) that I have a page on her website.
Do you feel that this is to much info, or its not needed? - There seems to be more info on me than anything else

I have always had a big love for animals, and have worked with animals since leaving school in 2008. I shall hopefully start training as a vet nurse in 2012. I grew up with dogs, as mum has always been heavily involved with rescue, so we always had rescues and fosters. I got my first dog in 2003, as a one year old rescue, Zani, a very sweet Jack Russell Terrier. I have a massive love for dogs, and am very passionate about their welfare and responsible ownership. I couldn’t ever imagine life without a dog. Chinese Cresteds came into my life through mum in 2006, at first it wasn’t a breed I was impressed with although I know mum had admired and researched them for many years, while I was growing up. My opinions on these little characters changed very quickly, they soon stole my heart and my life now won’t be complete without one. I always knew I would own dogs, but now I know I will always own a Chinese Crested. I have mum to thank for introducing me to this unique, intelligent and wonderful breed, if she hadn’t I doubt I would have ever found them. So when mum became involved in the showing, and breeding side of the breed I felt I too should be involved, the showing side especially as it had always been something I was interested in.
I first learned of my passion for showing as a young teenager, when I competed in a local charity event held by a rescue shelter. I entered our whippet at the time into two classes, most handsome dog and the dog with the shortest coat. We took a 1st and 2nd and then went on to be awarded Best in Show by Lynne Davis, the dog trainer off Dog Borstal. I had such a great day out with the dogs, and like-minded people I knew I had found a new hobby. I was hooked from then on!
The first time I handled a Chinese Cresteds was at one of the breed clubs yearly champ shows. By this time we had met some wonderful, life long friends and received some great advice. I was unplaced at this show, but that didn’t change how I felt about showing. I just spent the rest of the day watching, and learning. Since then I have handled mums dogs at various champ shows and been placed at many. Im constantly building up my confidence, although I guess all fellow exhibitors get some nerves before a show. I would like to thank all judges, fellow exhibitors and friends for the placing’s & never ending support and advice. It means a lot to be able to share something I love with so many wonderful, like-minded people. Although the biggest thank you must go to mum for allowing me to show her dogs, and entrusting me with them in and out of the showing ring.
2011 has so far been a brilliant year for me, it was my first year handling at Crufts, although I have attended a number of times before. I handled Lyric to a 3rd in a strong class. I was over the moon with this, and must thank Lyrics breeder *Lynda* for allowing Lyric to come & be loved by us, and for the never ending support and advice. I have been competing with Lyric, Star, Dizni and Mydus so far in 2011 all of which are qualified for Crufts 2012.
Hopefully 2012 will be another good year for Kojiki. I plan to allow Karma to have her first litter under the care of mum all being well. Karma was gifted to me as a pup, however she didn’t make it to the ring. I have taken advice from other experienced breeders, and together we believe she has something to offer. Karma will be 4 by the time she has a litter, and any puppies born will be born under the Kojiki affix. At present we are carrying out Karmas health tests, and researching potential studs. We have just received Karmas PLL results back of which she is clear! :-)
Later on in the year I shall be joining the Kojiki affix as a separate interest. Its safe to say that I will definitely follow mums footsteps.
On the 18th of Sept 2011 - I was invited to judge the AV pedigree classes at the Chequers BAGSD Show - I had a brilliant time, lots of wonderful dogs entered and a totally new experience for me - I judged 5 classes with a wide range of dogs entered from Shih Tzu's to Borzoi's. I awarded BIS to a wonderful Bracco Italiano (a breed I have admired from afar for a while now!) reserve BIS went to a gorgeous German Shepherd, and BPIS was a smashing little black Labrador. I would like to thank all of the Chequers BAGSD Club for allowing me to take on this appointment - it was very strange to be on the other end, but equally enjoyable!
On the 22nd of Oct 2011 - we attended the Chinese Crested Club of GB Open Show, to help with the rescue stalls. At the AGM that took place after, I was accepted onto this clubs committee - where I will also take on the role of Trophy Steward. I am looking forward to being involved more with this wonderful breed, while learning as much as possible from those with more experience that I shall work along side.
