Unhappy Breeding comments on Facebook

Two things really made me angry yesterday on my Facebook.

The first was someone's comment 'I really want a pugweiler' .....WTF?????? Surely not, please??

And the other was a friends new puppy photo (gorgeous) followed by comments like 'I want to have one of her puppies'... 'breed her she's so cute' ... 'don't get her done she has to have puppies' etc etc etc

After seeing and sharing some of the heartbreaking and shocking experiences in the breeding section lately, it makes me wonder how it is that these types above will get all the 'luck' when it comes to breeding, yet the devoted, conscientious caring breeders get the heartache.

They weren't even advertising litters though, it was just stupid comments from people who should have known better, and someone who obviously hasn't the sense to imaging what getting a 'pugweiler' would involve.

That's the sort of ignorance that leads to all this indiscriminate and outrageous breeding

Re: Breeding comments on Facebook

You sure the pugweiler comment was serious? Wouldn't be entirely surprised if it was, having seen some bizarre crosses... but it could also just be someone joking?

This is something that I have wondered often, and still something that bugs me!
I have come to the conclusion that the heartache a decent, devoted breeder will feel when something goes wrong wouldnt be classed as heartache by those that dont give a toss. - Therefore it may seem all goes well, but the truth is they dont care to much when things go wrong..unless it affects their profit.
