Re: Nursing mother nutrition advice!!!!!!

You should post in the breeding section. No doubt you will be asked some very searching questions about why you felt the need to breed a Staffie when there are hundreds PTS every year in rescues, but persist.

You should be giving the best food you can afford. Webbox and any supermarket food is frankly shameful. To be really harsh, don't breed em if you can't feed em.

Re: Nursing mother nutrition advice!!!!!!

I'm confused...why are you feeding the dog orijen but your mum is feeding webbox/coop? Who's dog is it? The loose poo and wind could be from switching between foods if thats what your doings? If this is your dog and your providing the orijen then tell her to feed that!

I dont know if you read my first thread in the introduction section she was breed with my mums sharpei so they are x breed my mum is keeping one and the other 3 are going to good homes witch keeping in contact with if there is any problems and if there is i will keep them my self. I know for a fact that most dogs end up in rescues or worse and i did not plan this breeding with my mum witch is my fault for not getting her spayed. I fell out with my mum because she was feeding her that junk when i was feeding her orijen i can afford feeding her my mum does not know anybetter you made me feel like a thug thinking doing selfish act over money and not give a dam about my dog

Re: Nursing mother nutrition advice!!!!!!

Please try to understand that this is a forum of animal lovers who, day in day out on here have to read about more & more puppies being born without having had relevant health checks tc to owners who seem to have little or no clue how to look after these babies Not to mention the current crisis of dogs in rescue.

I'm not getting at you in particular but think of the forum your own before you start accusing people of thinking you're a thug.

So your bitch has had pups & there seems to be a bit of conflict on what to feed her. My advice, tell your mum the bitch(mother dog) has to be fed on the Orijen which you have bought as it is a good quality food for her. She probably is getting the dickie tummy because of the chopping & changing of her food, the Orijen should have been phased in, nothing to stop you doing that now with what left of the foood your mum has bought, but once your mums stuff is finished try to get her not to buy any more as webbox etc is utterly vile & won't do your girl any good at all/

Good luck with your pups & please stay on here & ask any questions you have, just don't expect everyone to think your 'the main man' You will get help, but you will prob also get criticised for the not idel circs of your bitch being bred. Will you be getting her spayed now that she's had this litter?

Re: Nursing mother nutrition advice!!!!!!

While she's nursing, stic with the Orijen, don't keep switching. It will make her and the pups unwell. Pups are very vulnerable and you need to ensure they are safe. Switching the food equals upset tum equals potentially harming the pups.
Bred with a Sharpei? Oh my.

Thug is the wrong word. I don't see you running round being violent. There are plenty of alternatives to a full term pregnancy if you know about it.
