Yaaaawn!!...update of chihuahua!
Im soooo tired....she is really quite uncomfy she's not sleeping very well at all she's also extremely clingy so im having to sleep on the floor as she jumps of my bed to go for a wee....about 10 times a night!!
So yeah just an update really no puppies as of yet but its very very close! she seems to be drifting in to stage 1 and then falling asleep
Wish her luck!!!

Hi all just another update...STILL no puppies!! She's normally so on the day when it comes to whelping but maybe its due to different stud boy...what do you think? There moving about like crazy, shes eating well seems happy just quite aggitated. Guess all we can do is wait!
Oh and i promise to post piccies!!...if they ever get here

shes 58 days.... i know they can go much longer it was jsut we though we were going to have a prem birth becuase her plag came away days ago and she has had both previous litters on her 56th night as did her mother and grandmother. I probably shouldn't worry as the vet isn't concerned but i cant help it!

Hi, glad to hear she's ok.
She could have actually conceived a couple of days later after the mating.
The males 'swimmers' can live for a few days inside the bitch so if she didnt have eggs ready and waiting the day of the mating it could have happened a couple of days later.

i thought that the pups moved around less just before they are born. i am saying this as my staffs were all like that. human babies dont move much when birth is imminent......just my observations

cant wait to see the pics. i own a chi girl and am desperate for a pup. so she has some company. i am going to mate her instead hopefully

so do you think that a change of stud could have caused a later whelping date... ie slower "swimmers" I am just intrested as all the bitches in her line have always whelped on day 56/57 morning?
