how can you be sure of hip score

Just wondering, if I was to purchase a Goldie puppy someday, I would be looking at the hip score of both parents (obviously there are other health test results too but just asking about hip scores for now) anyway, it's all very well reading the hip score of a website like champdogs, but how would you check it? Should the breeder have a certificate that you can ask them to produce on request?

The breeder should show you the score sheet

Re: how can you be sure of hip score

Sometimes the health test finder doesn't locate all dogs though. It doesn't show my dog half the time and he is hip and elbow scored

It will be on the KC website! The BVA are perhaps a little behind but ALL scores are on the database!
Just key in the sire or dams full kennel club name!
And as someone has said - there is documentation from the BVA that the breeder will have!

That's the downside, Rupert is Liberty King (golden retriever) with hip and elbow scores and wont be there still I doubt.
