She only came into season when in her new home... Of course we will cover and organise her spay but it's not ideal for her new owners... We were guided by our trusted vets who said no reason to open her up.

If it's a reputable rescue they with a neutering policy they should cover this for you?
Hey, thanks I didn't know it was something they would cover I shall give them call and have a chat to them about this. They did not check with a vet i don't think as when i asked they just said she had a scar so they presumed she was spayed...bit naive of me to just take their word for it i suppose but never mind i noticed before a male had the chance so thats all that matters lol

I do have another question she has been spotting for over 2 weeks now, is this normal?

They may not but its worth talking to them, if they are a reputable rescue and it was a genuine mistake they may help?

Don't know anything about seasons with regard to your other question though!

Re: I'm not too sure....

The thing that would concern me is how long has she been in season and could she have been caught before you got her?

Just to clarify - you got her a week ago? Was she in season when you got her? When did you first notice anything? How long has it been since you first noticed?
