He comes very highly recommended by many people and is by far the best person in the country for eye testing.
Give them a ring and ask about the tests they are VERY helpful and will explain everything to you.
There is one in West Yorkshire but from what I have heard of him hes a nasty peice of work and people would rather travel to Mr Ellis in Preston.
I know theres one in Newark and somewhere in the North East but I would have to find those out for you if you needed them.
Hope that helps
I use mr ellis he is very good and calms the dogs before doing the eye tests. I eye test my Shelties every year for CEA and PRA. I am also looking to DNA CEA tests before breeding.

But as I am close to Preston he is the closest vet that eye tests, he is the best in my opinion as I have never been told anything bad about him.

He eye tests every Monday, the next opening is in October I was told he is doing some on the 11th too as he does them for those who cant get to monday slots. I maybe attending with my friend and her sheltie.

A lot of these eye panellists do roving surgeries.

We have one that covers the whole of South Wales - and he does surgeries in his home area / in the middle and down West on about a monthly basis.

As others have said - those tests that she can't be DNA'd for - she will need annual eye tests - if the sire was genetically clear for some of the conditions, then unless the mother was genetically affected (where all offspring will be carriers for recessive conditions) then she has a 50/50 chance of being genetically clear - it's definitely worth doing the tests (IMO)

As for someone saying 'don't buckle to KC pressure ' - what a load of codswallop - well done you on doing your research
