So I guess I'm being a hypocrite in wanting my own babies. You are all right and just confirming something I felt already anyway. She is too old bless her, and as special and wonderful as she is doesn't mean she needs to produce a little mini me. She will be spayed after this season and that will be that. We love our little girl too much to risk her health in any way. I think this is probably why I brought this to the boards, as deep down I didn't think it was the right thing to be doing. Thanks all for setting me back on track
Nice to see you've taken on board the comments,I'm really pleased.
Maybe if you did want to breed in the future, you could buy in a purebred pup from a Breeder with the intention of showing/breeding.
I was actually talking myself out of breeding a two yr old fit and healthy bitch, because I knew of the risks involved and experienced whelping complications previously with a different bitch, who had whelped before.

No, don't really want to breed. I think I was having a bit of a panic because little Midge was getting old and we wanted her to live forever I don't think I could part with any pups if I were to breed When Midge isn't with us any more I will look at getting another little tiny, but until then we will love and enjoy our little girl

Not a great pic but here's our little girl - a bit chubby at the time

Re: Considering breeding

I am pleased with your decision At the end of the day being bred to another Chi does not mean you would get a Mini Me anyway. Midge is gorgeous so enjoy your years you have left together
