Laparoscopic Spay

not sure if ithis the correct section

I decided to have one of my bitches spayed on Monday and chose a laparoscopy spay as she was fit and healthy.

Really impressed with the procedure. she was admitted at 9 , surgery rang at 11.30 to say procedure finished and she was coming round and alert.

collected her at 3.30p.m. and she acted as if nothing had happened to her lol, promptly demolished a large bowl of rice and fish when she got home lol and was looking to go for a run with the others.

has 2 small insicions, only downside is they do shave a lot of coat off, however as she had dropped coat didn't bother me . Can't see her being in the show ring for a year lol.

cost was extra £92.

Re: Laparoscopic Spay

One of the girl puppies that we sold was speyed by the new owners. I don't know what type of procedure was used but she had a very small scar on her belly, looked like there were only a couple of stitches and very neat too. She was fine when the new owners brought her round to show us, the only thing she didn't like was the huge lampshade collar that she had on, other than that she was full of beans. They didn't shave much coat off either which surprised me, just a small 3x2 inch patch.
They paid £160 for it.

I know that they do offer this kind of spay at my vets practice.
So I will definitely bear your experience in mind when the time comes for Willow to be spayed.

Glad your girls ok
