Please listen to your advice I know it is hard to keep pups at this age but you owe it to these little ones to give them the best start possible. If you let them go early they may be out of your hair but they will develop problems and more than likely end up in a rescue and may well be put down or spend years in a kennel. Good luck with your pups and keep us posted on thier progress
I had a puppy at only four weeks. Didn't know anything about early playing and learning, but the woman was getting rid that day or selling for medical experiment (the evil cow). I suppose we were lucky; he never showed any dog aggression, but he showed no interest at all in other dogs either. He didn't mind when we had a couple, a separate times, come to stay, but outside he just didn't go near any other dogs.

to be honest, although OP says he has done a lot of research, if he thinks playfighting needs to be controlled by humans and that the pups are hurting each other, he has not done enough research.

I just hope he will listen to the advice, and I am concerned that he initially said they were all going together.

I clearly haven't read all the thread - but obviously there is some intention or requirement for two of these pups to go to the same home

The thing is, a responsible well informed breeder will have the pup's best interests at heart - and whilst you don't always get it right (we are all human after all) - they will make an informed responsible decision based on the information they have and their instincts.

An inexperienced breeder who thinks it's OK to let the pups go at 6 weeks, and therefore clearly has very little knowledge or experience is IMO a completely different state of affairs - it's not unusual for breeders to run two (or more) pups on, and I had a very responsible and ethical breeder sell me a pup, knowing I had my own litter just 2 weeks younger at home (I did already own one of her dogs) - but I will admit it was bl**dy hard work - mind boggling at times - but I also knew I had the support of my partner, my boy's breeder and the stud dog owner of my own litter if needed - plus - our life simply revolves around the dogs (but it was still hard work).

My concerns lie more in the fact that the owner is clearly inexperienced - and will probably do what they want to do - and I just pray that's the best for the pups

At the beginning of this thread, the OP said that they were ALL going to the same home, all four of them, not just two. That changed when we mentioned pet shops and byb's.

I think we are all wasting our fingers by replying at all.

So why do you keep changing your story? First you say they are all going together, now you say they are going in twos, which is it? You asked for advice, so naturally you are going to get questions, or you won't get the proper advice. I don't know who M8 is, I'm afraid. I don't approve of text speak.

Re: When do i rehome puppies?

I am going to close this post now. We have all made our opinions very clear and the thread is going round in circles. If the OP wishes to add anything different to the post, please PM me and I will consider opening it again
