Re: cav king charles breeders/owners

I am not a breeder.
I have Tilly who you can read about on "Chloe the rescue cav" thread.
Not sure what you want to know about but all i can say is they are a fantastic breed and sooooooo loving. Tills is very spoiled and is a daddys girl. Would not part with her for a million pounds (maybe two) Only joking.

do you have one?

I would like a tri coloured or a ruby in the next few years but it would have to be a rescue.

Re: cav king charles breeders/owners

There are a few owners around don't know of any breeders on the site. They're fantastic little dogs though just be careful to get one from a breeder that fully health tests MRI scans, heart tests, eye tests as well I think. They have a lot of problems sadly

Re: cav king charles breeders/owners

I do not own or breed them, although have been looking after seven for a friend for a week - shes been breeding and showing over 35years and is a champ judge. Their great little dogs, have been easy to look after. I have groomed them before for crufts, but have enjoyed grooming, walking ect them while she is away.

Re: cav king charles breeders/owners

I have a blenheim cavalier from health tested parents, although they weren't MRI'd, and were ok in the show ring.

I have found a few breeders that I am interested in, for a tri pup, most who only breed parti-colours, who are MRI'd etc.

If you want a decent cavalier breeder, make sure they have heart, eye and MRI scores, and the parents are over 2.5 years and grandparents over 5

Best way to find a decent breeder is to go to a Cavalier Breed Show, and ask around Do your research too

They are a fun loving breed, who are friendly and easy to train as they love to please, they are very greedy though!! My pupster is quite timid to start, but she's ok with the judges etc.

Re: cav king charles breeders/owners

To be honest, I'd get one, then get another a year or so later, once you've gotten the first trained up, so to speak They do, do good in pairs, but I wouldn't take 2 pups from the same litter.
