Day 54

Hello everyone

Lola gettin bigger by the day!

She is gettin frustrated at not been able to clean herself as she cant reach, bless her! so i have been wiping for her but im just wondering if anyone else has noticed in their girls that if the discharge has been there for a while (as in not been wiped for a few hours) that it has a slight straw like tinge to it? I have phoned my vet and he has just said watch her, but im just wondering if i should be a bit more worried. I have seen it fresh when just been to the toilet and it hasnt got a smell to it.

She eats, drinks, plays goes walkies as normal.

Re: Day 54

A slight tinge to it shouldn't mean any problem (please notice I say SHOULDN'T- not WOULDN'T), it could simply be staining from the urethra. HOWEVER, keep a very very close eye on her (as your vet has told you not to take her in), and the slightest "off colour" get her to the vets straight away- don't bother making an appointment, just get her there and ring up on route, don't take no for an answer.
canuckjill and Taylorbaby like this.

Are you checking her after she has urinated.... are you sure its not the urine tainting it?

This time it was just clear discharge no colour to it at all, so not sure but you could be right! I'll just keep an eye on the lil monkey.

Its normal to fear the worst when you are breeding responsibly.... I'm sure all us human mums go through sympathy pregnancies when our babies are having pups. Unfortunately, having been apart of the breeding scene for such a long time, I know too well that problems can quickly occur.... So its only right to be on your guard.
