Re: Weaning age

It depends on the litter themselves. The last litter I had not the ones we have now contained the ASBO twins and they started to pinch their mothers food as soon as their eyes were open so we started giving them sloppy food which they at first wore more than ate

Re: Weaning age

I tried the pups on a little bit of whelpi, kibble gruel today. They didn`t eat much but both lapped at it a little & spent ages licking each others faces afterwards

It took mine a couple of days to get used to eating from a dish. They were happy to pinch from mum but weren't sure what to do with there own food.

This is one of our first litters trying gruel for the first time. After this we used a plastic table cloth on the floor so the mess could easily be cleaned up.

Re: Weaning age

Awww they look so orderly lined up at their little dishes

Compared to the devastation of the whippet pups lol poor carpet indeed but all so cute.

I guess there may be a plus side to just having the 2 pups...less mess heheh
