Which thermometer do you use?

Hello everyone.

Im new to the site. But have been lurking for months.

My bitches due her first litter in about 4 weeks. I'm trying to get all my whelping supplies together. Whelping box being made this weekend etc.

Ive still got a few bits to get.

My question is what thermometer do you use? Digital or an old school type?

Many Thanks

Fleur

Re: Which thermometer do you use?

Digital all the way, easy to read and less dangerous than glass ones

Re: Which thermometer do you use?

Digital here too Mind you with our pups that were born this week I never had chance to take her temperature. The pups were born on day 58 and went into labour without any signs the pups were going to arrive. She had been digging in the night but had been for a few nights and not enough to make us suspect she was going to have them that night. She is not the first bitch I have had do this the one ate her tea sat down got up and popped out a pup these were also born early day 57. She had been running round in the garden with the other during the day she had had her temperature taken but not had the drop. I had done it about an hour before the first pup arrived.
