Day 51

We are now on day 51 and Freyja is getting bigger every day. The italians are being evicted from our bedroom and moving in with their new room mate. They will be sleeping in Ben's bedroom for a while so that Freyja can have her whelping box in our room.

I know 2 little ones that are going to be feeling very left out for the next few weeks as they'll not be allowed anywere near the pups they are too rough to be near little ones.

Re: Day 51

awww bless her....not long to go.

My other two cockers can sympathise with your italians...they have been restricted in movements although they still sleep in the same place. As i am keeping them seperated from Dizzy & the pups too.

They miss having her with them & have howled for her every night

Freyja has 1 week left to go but I don't think she will go that long without bursting. She is now enormous. The pups were very active last night.

This will be our 5th litter although our first with Freyja. She has had pups before we had her. 4 years ago today we had our 3rd litter Rosie had 10 but we had 18 altogether as her mother also had a litter. This was planned as we mated Tegan first but had pups booked of Rosie too and she only had season every 11/12 months so even though we had already mated Tegan we had to mate her too or she would have been to old for a first litter by the time she next came into season. They were our 666 litters the first born 6 days late the other 6 days early and 6 days age difference
