You can also try Idexx, they send the bloods to Optigen to be processed, and the results come back on Optigen paperwork, and are recorded on the KC database. Edited to add, I'm not sure if you have to forward the paperwork to the KC for it to be recorded.

You need to use Optigen if you want the results to be automatically to sent to the kc. When you get the fn results back from Antagene you'll need to send a copy to the kc .

I know people who have used Idexx - and the results are not on the KC database.

I am rather perplexed TBH when optigen holds the patent - and regularly offer significant discounts for testing, how they can offer such large discounts to Idexx who would also need to be paid for their efforts

I phoned the Kennel club this morning to get some info. They said the most important thing is the animal being tested, where we go is our decision. They said because of the patent that is the only reason they cannot accept results from anyone else. They said that to their knowledge Laboklin is just as good a company and they do accept the results from them for other tests such as the cord1 pra for my springers as their is no patent on that test.

They also said that animal health trust is another company to use.

You're supposed to get these tests done before you mate your dogs, you need at least one of them to be clear or you are almost certain to get affected puppies .

Including hip score's and eye tests...
