Red face What is it with the humping and flirting ?

Tipsy is in season so is staying with OH and her mum Coco who looks like she'll be in season tomorrow too. I went to visit them earlier to give them a bit of pampering and redo their bands to keep them clean etc. Now obviously the scent is now on me a bit too. Well ever since I got back home to the boys they've been sniffing at me like fools and humping each other

I've mentioned before that Benji has done this to Rusty plenty of times when the girls are in season but now Tux has joined in... following poor Rusty around trying to hump him and Rusty for some strange reason is starting to act like a bitch would... all flirty

Seems they have much in common with cows, where all the girls jump on each other, and rams, who quite commonly seem to be gay....perhaps it's catching...

Re: What is it with the humping and flirting ?

I have a 2 bitches in season atm. One brought the other in. All my dogs are seriously in love with each other! They are all humping each other, the boys humping the boys the girls humping the girls and my 2 in season are the worst of them all!! They are both flagging at my other girl and each other. My intact male is being vv closely moitored and kept well out the way, hes completely off his food and seriously pining for his girls.

I assume its all to do with dominance. My alfa bitch is huming everyone and shes not the one in season lol x

I feel so bad for my male, he sits looking under the crack of the door. Poor boy. We had an accidental tie a few months back (very luckily nothing came of it) and i have def learnt my lesson big time. He goes nowhere without me or if Im not watching him hes crated.

Re: What is it with the humping and flirting ?

Indie humps, she's five, and has been spayed for a few years. She only tries it on with certain dogs, so it's all behavioural, nowt to do with seasons and what not, particularly as she humps some dogs. BUT she will hump Tau like there's no tomorrow when she comes in.
