Stage 1??
So my pomeranian is on day 63 now.
Ive been taking her temperature for the past week and its been sticking at about 37.8 - 37.2 then this morning at 11am it went to 36.6 Shes been nesting all night and all day now. then about an hour and 15mins ago she started whining, panting and shivering, shes been restless since then and has just laid down to have a nap but is up every 5minutes digging again and then napping, all the time shivering. is this stage one? How long do you think this will go on? We already know that we are expecting at least 2 pups and we have the emergency vet on call and aware of the situation as of this morning |

Re: Stage 1??
Thanks Everyone, she was laid in her whelpin box which is at the side of our bed but i went to the toilet and she very kindly dragged her blankets to the bed and made a "nest" with them, shes now laid next to me licking me like mad as i type this, still shivering, not as much panting, but alot of whining

Re: Stage 1??
Ive taken all the blankets out of her whelping box and replaced with several layers of newspaper. Shes now in there having a mad half hour shredding the hell out of the paper, occasionally whining and the licking her back end, several times ive had to hold her head out the way just to check that there isnt anything there, she seems fine and has stopped shivering but the panting is back and its lasting ages, she just cant seem to get comfortable, i took her blankets out because they are all navy blue and red so i wanted to be able to see the colour of discharge just incase there were any problems, but should i give her a blanket back?
