Re: accredited breeder , breeding crosses

Is there anything that says an AB can't breed Xs or that puppies have to be registered?
The only thing I have seen is that all breeding stock has to be registered

yes all breeding stock has to be registered but ACB's Must hand over the dogs registration certificate at the time of sale or as soon as possible.... to do so puppies have to be registered and obviously cross breeds cant be registered so if ACB's are found to be selling unregistered pups or breeding crosses they are breaking the rules of the scheme and should be reported.

Absolutely - being a member of the AB scheme can be, in some people's eyes, a thankless task - and if there are members breaking the rules, then they should be reported and HOPEFULLY the KC will act on it.

On the KC site it says
Accredited Breeders must:Hand over the dog's registration certificate at time of sale if available, or forward it to the new owner as soon as possible.
"As soon as possible" could be taken to mean when in it's not possible you don't need to do it.
Bad choice of wording by the KC
