Yes, it was posted earlier .....61

my dogs hipscore is 61, on her sires owners website to date, it states that her sire to date has never produced a puppy with results over 10 hahaha
The dam was 31 not sure about the sire, but evidently was an experiment to see if they could bring down the score - the stud owner claims on their website non of the pups he has produced has scored over 10. (sorry, can't find all the posts, but that's the main points).

Obviously, it goes without saying that if what the stud dog has on his website is wrong - then - that's bad

However, with regards to the 'experiment' - assuming quite a lot of dogs of the pairing have been hipscored, the law of averages says that there will be a few higher scores - and this goes follows through whatever the parents scores (even both 0/0) - will at some point produce high scoring offspring - you've only got to look at the historic records to see this - the offspring will be heavily weighted towards the lower or middle of the scale with the occasional high scoring offspring.

There are dogs that would score much higher than 61 but both dog and owner would be blissfully unaware there was a problem unless they decided to score (hence why scoring IS so important).

To the Poster with this dog - was your dog actually diagnosed with HD as a result of lameness or as a result of her score? as there is a big difference - although the score can help you to maintain fitness and health - but as these are things that should be done by default anyway - the score itself is almost secondary.

Tashi - the boys are gorgeous
