Re: Is Your Dog From Health Tested Parents?

My setter is from CLAD tested parents and she also has been tested they have to be done before they can be registered with the kennel club. There is no particular tests carried out in whippets and greyhounds .

Gillieworm we were at a show today best in show was a lovely dalmation I haven't unpacked my bags yet but when I do I'll see who she was.

Re: Is Your Dog From Health Tested Parents?

Indi's Mum was hip scored and eye tested, but not elbow scored. Her Dad was Hip and elbow scored and eye tested. All with good results. It seems a lot of people are still not elbow scoring in Goldens, especially in bitches.

Indi is Hip scored, elbow scored and has been eye tested, although hasn't a clear eye certificate this year as we are not breeding from her. She'll obviously be done before we breed from her again. Her hips score is 14, elbows 0. I would have liked her hips a bit lower personally, but they are still below average.

Connie, Indi's daughter will be hip and elbow scored as soon as she is old enough (October) and eye tested too. I do not think we will be breeding from her, as she has not turned out as nicely as we had hoped and so I doubt I am going to show her. I still need the scores for info though, and we'll be keeping her regardless.

Poppy's parents are both hip and elbow scored and eye tested clear. She will be done when old enough whether breeding from her or not too.

Sorry, that's an essay!

Re: Is Your Dog From Health Tested Parents?

All my dogs are from heart and eye tested parents
Taffy's parents are not MRI scanned, the dam is 6 and sire is no longer with us, MRI scanning wasn't really around when they were younger
Taffy is MRI scanned, so Ollie and Katey are from eye, heart and SM tested parents
Ollie and Katey are eye and heart tested and will be MRI scanned at 2.5 years

Re: Is Your Dog From Health Tested Parents?

Don't know and no. Sid was a rescue but did have purebred parents but not of the same breed so they could of possibly been and Jess is a border terrier and there is no health tests for these as far as I know and I have researched quite extensively.
