Exclamation Puppy farms! :(

Hey! i'm new on this site and is using it as a bit of research for a college course that i'm doing as i think its a great, useful forum site! im doing a project on puppy farms and would like to know if anyone would have the time to fill out a small questionnaire for me? i'd really appreciate it and it would be a MASSIVE help! people who have dogs from both puppy farms and breeders would be great! i want to get the point across about them both, good and bad points!

cheers everyone!!

Re: Puppy farms! :(

its just simple questions about your dog and where they came from really, i was going to use them to write a balanced review and i can post my overall end piece if people wanted me to, yes.

no, i was gonna post the questions on here or send them to peoples emails if they were to agree. this is only as it's a research project and i just need peoples opinions and own experiences, you dont have to if you dont want to but i would very much appreciate it, i can either put the questions up on here or send them as a word document.

Re: Puppy farms! :(

i`ll fill it in..i rescued pup that had originally came from a PF, my mum has her...she still has some issues which we think are as a result of her awful start in life. My dogs all game from accredited breeders. So i can give a comparison.

Talking Re: Puppy farms! :(

thank you guys!
the questions are:

Experiance with puppy farm dogs or dogs bought from a breeder.

What location did you buy your puppy from?

Do you know the name of the farm or breeders?

what was the environment of the house / garden like in comparison to where the puppies were kept?

what was the puppies enclosure like?

how did the puppies appear? was the owner happy to answer any questions you had about any of the puppies or their parents?

were you able to view more than one puppy and any of their parents?

were you provided with proof that the puppy had had it's correct vaccinations before going home with you?

how old was the puppy when given to you? did they have written proof of when the puppy and it's litter mates were born?

was the puppy healthy? (e.g weight, diet)

since having the puppy has he / she been 'ordinary' or has he / she had unusual behaviour? (i.e tail chasing, difficulties with people, seperation anxiety. have any of these things improved with age?)

do you feel that the way the puppy was kept has affected him / her for their future life?

please state if the dog has any habit you may feel are abnormal or has and unusual dietry requirements (wont eat some foods) or anything you feel has affected the dog from the way she was kept within the first weeks of their life.

Thank you guys! this is REALLY appreciated!
