There have been several threads lately regarding studs and so many people thinking that breeding dogs is a simple as 'throwing 2 dogs together'

I found the 'stickies' very useful and was wondering wether one of you good experienced people ought to do one on choosing studs. Including things like why its not always a good idea to have your own 'in house' stud, choosiing a suitable stud who compliments your bitch, over use of stud etc

I was thinking a stickie purely because a lot of people join here and breed on a whim. If the topic was permanently at the top then they MAY think twice. Thought for the mods

I have spent over 2 years researching the stud dog of my choice, health pedigrees, points complimenting my bitch etc. I will read your thread though because no-one ever knows enough
