A few months ago the partner bought me a nintendo ds game, it was called petz my dog family (i think)

anyway I was playing it, was alright bit boring, but then the dogs run off and had a puppy?! I was like 'eH?!' I read it and it was about bringing the dogs up and mating them with other types of dogs to 'create the ideal pet'

it also has one with cats and monkeys......does anyone else think this is really werid? or just me?? Also doesnt send a great message out either!

You can learn about real genetics through this "kid's" version. It is super fun and sometimes really difficult to get the combinations they want!

The only place I really advocate fake pet video games is to people who can't (not in bad way, like apartment wont allow dogs so have to wait to move out etc) or shouldn't be allowed to own a pet. I'm not kidding on the people who shouldn't own pets (like animal abusers, people who hit or kick their pets on a regular basis etc)

But I certainly wont be letting my kids play those sorts of games (if they involve producing more pups etc) since we'll always have a house full of animals to take care of IRL

EDIT: This is just how I feel about these sorts of games, I am not trying to push my views on anyone or say that my way is the only right way to think
