A little worried

Still no sign of any labour but im worried about mums behavior
she is normally my shadow , cant even pee without her waiting outside the bathroom door, yet since last night she doesnt seem to want to know me. She was panting at tea time yesterday, then went and lay on my hubbys lap .... she NEVER chooses his lap over mine lol
Then late last night she built a tunnel
she went to her whelping bed and piled ever blanket she could drag in there and made an igloo like tunnel and went inside it to sleep.
She was all excited to see me this morning as usual, play bowing etc but for all of only five minutes ( which is unusual ) and since then she has been in a deep sleep back in her "tunnel".
Just worried about her, is this just the exhaustion from the pregnancy and the tunnel making to hide from us all is this just her needing time to herself. She hasnt ate today

Re: A little worried

sounds like it shouldnt be to far away now, is she digging in her bed or just moving things round?
also you say she was excited to see you this morning... you realy should be with her during the night now,we sleep in the same room as our dogs from day 57 and if she was acting odd last night i wouldnt have left her alone(i may be wrong and you might just mean to see you as in when you woke up,if i am sorry), just stay with her all the time now as panting and messing with her bed are good signs shes getting ready.

Re: A little worried

No she is with me all the time sorry for not being clear.

We have normally both dogs in our bedroom, she however favours our bed lol

We have had the little boy sleeping with my eldest daughter for the last week ( in her room just incase )

Last night she didnt want to be on the bottom of the bed she went in her own ( in our room ) and was excited when she saw me wake. I dont sleep much myself anyway and checked her a few times through the night but she was sound.

She had dug a few times in her whelping box but im baffled by this tunnel shes made, i will try and take a picture of it

She woke and jumped on my knee about half an hour ago and laid on her back for me to stroke her tummy again ( acting normal again ) but i have noticed when stroking her ... her tummy has changed ...guess she is close.

The puppies are indeed lying on her sides and down the centre of the tummy towards her female parts ( lol trying to be polite ) there are what i guess must be 2 of them lying ( side by side ). Its weird because that area ( so near her parts ) was soft and flat yesterday morning.

You can physically see the two oblongs side by side and they move now and again but they are quite hard.

Ohhhh im excited and scared stiff at the same time

Re: A little worried

thats great, i wasnt sure hence why putting about it, fingers crossed she doesnt keep you waiting to much longer, but she does sound ready from what you say, she may start to sit quitely and close her eyes asif falling asleep for a few seconds, thats a sign of pains and another tell tale sign of labour, just watch like a hawk and im sure there will be some more experianced people come along soon with better advice
