Help understanding affix and registrations

I don't quite fully understand the registration process. I thought I did?

I understood if you have kennel name and owned the bitch, you would register pups with your affix in their name

Why would you register a litter say of 4, giving 3 dogs your affix but not the other one?

Re: Help understanding affix and registrations

Would the one not registered with the affix be an only dog or only bitch of the litter?

I've seen this too, maybe the one that doesn't have the affix is a stud fee puppy and perhaps the stud owner requested this.

On saying that, I've seen full litters registered without the affix

I was thinking possibly a sex linked genetic problem that a breeder might not want to have associated with their kennel

I know nothing about sex linked conditions but this breeder doesn't care wether she breeds ill pups or not and as far as I can find, this is the first time this has haappened with the affix
