Re: why???

Probably because they are endorsed, too old, too young, crossbreeds, had too many litters

Re: why???

I've spoken with one breeder who solely produces pet puppies. I've seen both parents KC papers and they are not endorsed, ages are fine, even all necessary health testing has been done. The puppies are not registered because the breeder sees this as a deterrant for breeding.

Another breeder I know is exactly the same except the puppies are registered, but KC papers are withheld until the puppies have been spayed/neutered.

You could argue that about anything though, surely.

How could you be sure that ANY paper work shown is the paper work to the dog or even pup that is supposedly registered?

She bred both dogs herself. They shared a grandparent on their dam's side I believe, but otherwise completely unrelated.
