What is this "giant" dog?

When I'm out walking my Dane we sometimes come across another "giant" dog. He is the same height as my Dane, who is 10 months, and he is a month younger. He is very chunky and must weigh a lot more than her! He has a semi Old English Sheepdog look to him... very shaggy haired, but he is a light/ tanny brown colour? I asked the owner what he was but I can't remember what he said . I'm pretty sure he is pedigree rather than a cross. Any idea?

I love you . I was actually looking for that thread as I remembered seeing something similar to it. I think it may well be a fawn one of them .

Yeah, sorry, there were two threads on it because this one is in the wrong section. I am 98% sure it was a Briard . I will most probably encounter him again some time so I will find out for sure then .
