Talking Day 53!!

Hey everyone! Well Celeste is 53 days today!! She's so plump! The puppies were moving all around, but today they have calmed down a lot! Does this normally happen towards the end of pregnancy?

Re: Day 53!!

I can remember Coco's having a right old party in there for a couple of days and then the day before it was quieter but not completely quiet. The movements were more like a little shift than rolling around, I think they were lining up in their order

Please keep us upto date, I love reading these stories

Yeah, that's what it seems like with Celeste. They were super active, but now they seem a bit more mellow and are really off to the sides of her? She's been panting more than usual, probably because the fullness pushing up on her. I really believe she will go into labor sooner rather than later.

Re: Day 53!!

They will go more to the side, this is because the dogs uterus is a Y shape - pups will go either side, and when coming through the birth canal they will alter what side they come from Hope thats explained it a little.

Also they do calm down the day before, and only shift them selves into positions

Thanks! Yeah, they are definitely on the sides of her and seem to be causing discomfort! And today they have really been less active. If I lay my hand on her stomach, they do still kick! But Celeste is eating mad crazy!! She is constantly snacking! She would be in a deep sleep, then all of a sudden pop up and get some food! It's so funny!! I cannot wait till the exciting day!
