exporting to holland

I have had an enquiry from a lady in holland for 2 of my pups who are at present 2 weeks old.Having spoken at lenght with her i am thinking of taking her enquiry further(although feeling a little wobbly about exporting) as she is a very knowledable experienced lady
I would like to hear if anyone has any experiences on exporting to holland, they will be driving over and taking pups back to holland in the car.

Re: exporting to holland

I would never sell two siblings to the same home. I would never sell a puppy to a home that already had a pup of a similar age.

I would contact Defra to see exactly what the exporting procedure for Holland would be.

Re: exporting to holland

Just because someone knows their facts, doesn't mean they are good owners... I would never sell 2 pups to the same home.

Re: exporting to holland

be careful its not a scam , there is scammers out there that ask you to ship puppies and send you money more than what you want , im not sure how it works , but i have read it many times , epupz warns you off them , i would never send any of my babys that far , or risk getting scammed and not knowing wear the puppies have gone , read up on scammers buying puppies , just a thought

Re: exporting to holland

Ok - I would tread with caution here.

I have had enquiries from abroad and know people who have sold pups abroad, but it is a big risk.

Just to get a clearer picture, how and why did this lady find out about your pups? Were you advertising them? if so, on where? Are your dogs show/working dogs that have done well in their respective field or are they pets and being sold as pets? What about the sire? Is it a well known sire that has done well too? While she sounds experienced, what is she experienced in? Why does she want 2 puppies?

Not trying to be nosey, but the answers to these questions would greatly influence whether it would be something I would consider.

Re: exporting to holland

i keep having people asking me to export, I ask them 'why cant you get a kitten in your own country?'

Id ask the same of them! Why cant they get a pup in their own country to go to another country....very odd!
