urgent advice needed
I am talking to a home breeder to buy their new born puppy.
however, what is rare that the puppy's mom gave birth to only one child. The breeder said it is because of timing. do you think it is ok for a Labrador? will this puppy will have potential physical or mental illness, because a Labrador usually give birth to 8-10 puppies. I am about to make decision to buy the puppy, pls give me some advice. thanks a lot, |

Re: urgent advice needed
I would not worry if they puppy is a singelton ive had one before and he was fine.
Make sure the breeder as done all the health tests that labs need if they parents not been hip scored ect....walk away ![]() Im sure a member can tell you all the tests that should have been done, rember a cute puppy is not always a healthy puppy ![]() |

Re: urgent advice needed
What a cute looking puppy.
Singletons are surprisingly not unusual in Labs - you could have one, you could have fourteen ![]() Providing all the health tests are in order for the parents - and the breeder has done an element of socialisation - it should be fine ![]() My youngest girl's granny (sire's side) had a singleton puppy recently - gorgeous ![]() |
