Re: Mismate injection

I hadn't. Then again i've never had a dog before Ted. Plus i would never have a bitch so wouldn't have been something i'd have needed to know if you get me?

Re: Mismate injection

i was not aware of it until i joined this forum. but i wasnt really up on any sort of breeding practice, as i never have and still dont really intend on ever having a litter.
however i must admit i have been researching breeding for my own interest since reading the breeding section on here, and i find it all very interesting. and its good info to know. still dont intend on breeding though

Re: Mismate injection

I voted No but then again I had only just got my (male dog) when I joined here.

Even if I had a female (non spayed) I still think common sense would tell me to phone the vet & ask for advice rather than just cross my fingers & hope that my dopg wasn't pregnant - I don't understand why people don't unless .... they want pups!!!

Re: Mismate injection

Nope, I only knew of spay abortions and at the time I joined Maya was pregnant, I didn't want to do that as I had been told it was very risky. Had I known about the mismate before, then the likelihood is Rusty would not exist right now. It's sad but quite true, I done animal care level 1 and 2 and never heard of the mismate jab.

This forum has been a great source of knowledge
