implant instead of castration

has any one had an implant on thier dog
and how succesfull was it

ooo this is new to me...i neva heard of this be4....ild like to know the answer to ur question aswell

After reading the article Loe posted, I would think that it will be very sucessful if the intended use is for sterilisation. However, if you are thinking of its use for curbing aggressive behaviour, it will probably be no more or no less successful than castration (which sometimes works and sometimes doesn't). The advantage is, of course, that insertion of an implant would be a lesser operation than castration.

thanks for your advice i have been on to the vet this morning
and he has suggested to try a dap collar
so this i will try before i do anything drastic
I will let you know how i get on
