essex pet sitter please advice?

Hi I live in the southend area of essex and have a few pets to say the least!
Minty-greyhound
Cookie-staff
Two bunnys
two ferrets
two budgies
fish
We are hoping to go on holiday next year and wanted some advice on house sitters to care for our pets while were away, last year the dogs went into kennels which they enjoyed and the smaller pets to small animal boarding which sadly was terrible (kept them in there carry boxes for a week!!!! long story very upset)
If possible I would rather someone who could stay at mine? Do people do this?
If so can anyone recommend anyone and how do I make sure there ok ?

Re: essex pet sitter please advice?

Hello, We, couple late 30s/early 40s, would love to help you out next year when your are in need of a sitter, our schedule permitting. What dates do you need a sitter?
We have two years full time experience as house/animal sitters and have all very positive references.
We have a CV, incl our picture, available for consideration if you are interested, please let us know.
Here are a few fragments from what our customers wrote as testimonials:
--looked after the animals very well--, --very good housesitters - honest, trustworthy and loyal--, --totally delightful couple and extremely respectful of your home--, --they are welcome here any time again.
We look forward to hear from you,
Kind regards,
Mirjam

Re: essex pet sitter please advice?

I would only go with a national company who has references, insurance etc.
I left a `friend` house-sitting once and luckily came back early to find 2 very distressed dogs locked in my kitchen with no food or water.

Re: essex pet sitter please advice?

hi Claire thanks for the reply ,I know how you feel with being let down,as I said in my original post I had a terrible experience with small pet boarders who looked after my little ones while I was on my honeymoon
All that worry's me with the national ones is how do I know the people coming in are as reliable as the company says? With being national thats a lot of people to vet
Im hoping someone may have someone they've used them selves in my area?
Im prob just being a bit over cautious ,its just my last experience really put a dark shadow over my honeymoon

We charge less than kennels and provide an excellent level of service, which can be confirmed by all our customers.
