Re: the cost of agility
You're better taking her to classes at first if you go agility.net they should have a class in your area. Especially with the contact equipment you want someone to show you how to teach it

Re: the cost of agility
definitely recommend doing classes first so you know how to teach each equipment correctly. but getting all the pieces (and you would need a field to put them in!!
) would cost over £1000. some items cost £300-600 alone. but you can make your own DIY equipment, which I have done for most of my practice equipment.

Re: the cost of agility
Have to agree with the others, please do try classes, you need to learn the basics under tuition first or you and your dog can learn an awful lot of bad habits which you would then need classes to fix but would take a lot longer.
A full kit second hand like ex-competition kit can be around £1800+, that`s a lot of money to spend just to get things wrong - and to risk potentially serious injuries - through not being taught properly for a few quid a week instead, and is a lot to spend just to find agility might not be her thing as it were ![]() There is also a huge temptation to train far too much with home equipment, once a week at a good club is enough while learning the basics and enough to later become competent to train at home by which time handlers have learned how much or how little to do more frequently but in shorter bursts than at a standard weekly class. HTH **I know Angel is old enough, but for general info for others considering agility at home or otherwise, all dogs should be 12 months minimum to start full agility training, older if a large breed. |

Re: the cost of agility
thank you
i will have a look at that site, i have done agility at college as they have the whole set and have dogs in the kennels everyday but these already know agility so think it would be best so angel don't pick up any bad habitats. and the equipment is very expensive.![]()

Re: the cost of agility
If you want some home kit why not buy some of the clix range? They're not as sturdy as pro obviously.
Oh and ebay do some basic agility stuff too. You can also get kids play tunnels from Ikea which are cheapish. ![]()
