Re: rubber mats for indoor agility

What type of floor are the mats going on top of? Unless it's a sprung dance floor, I'd avoid doing a lot of jumping. The dogs should not jump full height even if there is a rubber mat. There is too much impact on the joints. If your dog is large size, put the jumps on medium. A medium dog should jump small height, a small dog on micro. Even then, keep the sessions brief. Practising contacts, weaves, direction work is much safer

Re: rubber mats for indoor agility

Some dog clubs might be getting rid of their mats so would give them away for a donation. Could be worth phoning round a few. They wouldn't be in the best condition but a good wash and they would be fine. When the obediance club got new mats I thought it was a bit silly because the old ones still looked brand new but I'm sure they threw them away!
