I'm worried seeing a dog in weaves that aren't pegged correctly. That's an accident waiting to happen and the dog put off. But great pictures of beautiful dogs!

Not if the dog has been taught properly, the metal bases are too heavy to tip with the struts out, the only weaves I have seen be a problem were some used at a club which were hollow plastic, they were used one time in bitterly cold weather which made them brittle, a dog weaved and snapped a couple of the poles which could have been very nasty indeed but luckily the dog did`nt get caught on them as they snapped.
I have also seen the thick pegs used but not banged in the ground properly, those are a broken toe or ripped claw waiting to happen, and have seen pegs pulled up while a dog has been going through them which could easily catch a toe or claw of a trailing leg.
I prefer no pegs to potentially dangerous one`s myself

If pegs were over large or not banged in all the way, or were loose enough to come out I'd count that as not pegged correctly . Your photo shows one section that overlies another having risen with a gap between the two. That could have trapped a toe or ripped a claw. At crufts they can't peg into the solid floor so they rely on the sideways struts plus velcro to the carpet underneath - and the weaves move around a lot and have to be re-set frequently. In normal KC competitions the weaves have to be pegged and they feel different to the dogs than unpegged weaves, so the dog will be better learning and practising on pegged weaves if they are going to go to comptete.

This thread is about two gorgeous dogs, not a kit debate, there is a time and a place and this really is not it so out of respect for Geordiegirl [ to whom I apologise for previously going off topic myself ], how about sticking to topic and taking anything else to a new thread if you feel the need
