Can you run a dog without collar?
Hiya

Can you run a dog without a collar? So just use a slip lead around the ring, and then take it off for the run?

For a show? I believe you can in all the shows i've seen (ringcraft) i've seen no collars on the dogs, only slip leads. Can't be 100% 'cause I don't show but it's only what i've seen

if you are running a dog in a public place (not a show) then by law the dog needs to have an ID tag on showing name and address!

Hi i have seen dogs in Agility without collars,mine wear collars for it without tags as if you compete you are not allowed anything hanging from collar,or to use a check chain or half check.

Yes you can, but you can also run them in a flat collar (no buckles or dangly bits) mine wear collars with my mobile number embroidered on them, better safe than sorry
