Re: equiptment

I do agility with my dog.

I've made various bits of kit for practicing at home in between classes:

weaves about of PVC poles and pvc piping adapters.

Jumps can be made using pvc piping too.

For a tunnel I use a childs play tunnel

Jumps also made out of wood difficult to describe but I made it using the guidline for an Easy Garden Jump on agilitynet. Changing it slightly but securing the two bases with a strip of wood below the jump bar.

Tire jumps can be made using a large bike tyre, wrapped in duck tape and secured to PVC piping. Using the same basic base as of that for basic PVC pipe jumps

Here are a few ideas for making DIY equipment:

I make jump cups out of plastic bottles using a heated nail to make holes for screwing and nailing to jumps.

I also have a contact trainer lent to me by my agility trainer who made it herself using Plywood panks and bits of strong wood she had lying about and painting on a contact area; using sand type stones for grip.

The only thing I need ideas on is making weave channel guides.

I am also hoping to either make or buy some garden contact equipment.
