Re: agility or flyball in newcastle
Yes 9 months is a good time to start flyball and you then increase how much they do up till 12 months when they can start to compete.
I often let people have a go with my dogs, then they get a really good feel for what they are aiming for and what will be expected of them later on. Christina Allstars Flyball Team ALLSTARS FLYBALL TEAM - Home |

Re: agility or flyball in newcastle
Hi,
I am involved with the Tyne Tailwaggers flyball team which trains in Wallsend - Rising Sun Farm! We don't accept dogs before 9 months old - although they are welcome to come socialise - and we also recommend Hillheads dog training to start off with - a few of our members are former / current Hillheads attendees. You are very welcome to come visit us at any time - we train our beginners on Tuesdays during summer and then Sunday mornings in winter - check out tynetailwaggers.org.uk Cheers |

Re: agility or flyball in newcastle
Hiya,
Come and see us after Xmas and see how you get on. We will look forward to meeting you both. In the mean time work on that recall as it will be much easier for you if that is solid. If you want to email me on tynetailwaggers@googlemail.com I will send you some details. Cheers |

Re: agility or flyball in newcastle
Have you tried thetopdoghouse.co.uk? They do obedience and agility one after the other on a sunday from 12 o clock (as well as at other times of course). Dogs are encouraged to socialise outside the training ring and you can dip in and out of either class if you need/want to.
I find this really helpful with my rescue collie as he tires very quickly and is still working up to full physical fitness. I'm also going to look at tynetailwaggers.org.uk now tho, as they sound good! Good luck whatever you decide to do and keep us updated with progress! ![]() |
